Omar Soro

Dr. Torna Omar Soro has a PhD in economics from the University of Southern California (USC-Los Angeles, California 2006) and a Master in Computer Science from The University of Massachusetts-Boston (Umass-Boston, 2016). He is a tenured Professor of Economics and computer science at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC – Boston), a lecturer in the computer science department at the University of Massachusetts – Boston and a technical staff member (Weekend Group – Cloud Computing) at MEDITECH (Medical Information Technology, Inc). Dr. Soro also has experience in the private sector. Dr Soro’s first professional career position in the United States (USA) after his PhD (2006) was with Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation (Boston, MA), a property and casualty insurance company, where he worked as a Research Economist (Predictive analytics). He later on joined MEDITECH (Medical Information Technology, Inc) in order to improve his understanding of healthcare technology and hopefully (in the future) help developing countries accelerate the adoption of healthcare technologies. 

Dr. Soro’s research interests include Econometrics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Software Engineering and Health Information Technology. He is originally from Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and is fluent in French. Dr. Soro is a citizen of the United States of America (USA) and Cote D’Ivoire.

David Ruskey 

David Ruskey has served over 26 years in the justice community. His career has been marked by a commitment to public safety and a willingness to take on challenging roles.  Dave embraces contemporary technology, specializing in mobile device examinations. Certified in multiple mobile forensic tools he has resolved cases through mobile device data analysis. Additionally, Dave is an FAA licensed drone pilot.
 
Holding a Master’s of Science degree from Boston University, Dave extended his impact by teaching criminal justice courses. He developed a mobile device forensics course for college students and guided dozens of students to earn their certification in the operation of forensic tools. He has recently shared his mobile forensics expertise with additional students as part of the We Reach team. 
 
Dave strives to deliver high-level services to his students and is excited to assist them in developing new skills that will lead to future employment opportunities.

Andres Hincapie

IT manager with 6 years of experience in the sector. Experience working on projects that require solutions for all kinds of tasks, such as implementing technical and computer systems from scratch.  Design and implement network architecture to manage networks effectively, efficiently. Web developer with knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, React and database.

Paul Koczwanski

I graduated from Salve Regina University with a master’s degree. My course of study was the Administration of Justice. The bulk of my course work was constitutional law and case studies in the study of law. 

I have 24 years of law enforcement experience, most of which was with the Coventry, Rhode Island Police Department.  I started my career on the midnight shift in the patrol division.  I was also involved in the traffic division, marine patrol, honor guard, elderly affairs liaison and was certified in the use of the department’s ATV.  I was a Field Training Officer. I am a(Tops) Traffic Occupant Passenger Safety instructor, and trained child safety seat installer. I taught in the department’s Citizens Police Academy.

I then moved to the detective division. I oversaw the BCI (bureau of criminal identification) unit. I attended the state’s BCI school and attended numerous schools and classes in my career. I was trained in homicide investigations, arson investigation, bombs and bombing investigations, interrogations, as an accident reconstructionist, fingerprint analyst, blood spatter analyst, and in ballistics.  I ran the police department’s lab and evidence room.  I ran and trained officers on the departments IAFIS(fingerprints) machine.  

I am a lifetime member of the Rhode Island Criminalists Association and a past member of the New England Division of the International Association for Identification. 

I was awarded the distinguished service ribbon and was honored as officer of the year. I was also honored by the United States Navy with a citation for assisting them with a murder investigation.  I was involved in the investigation of the Station Nightclub Fire.  

I retired from the police department and started teaching at Baystate College in 2012

I wrote two online courses (Forensics and Criminal Procedure).  

I have taught courses in the following;  U.S. Courts, Criminal Procedure, Forensics, Security, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Police and Modern Society and Mobile Digital Forensics.

In 2018 I was certified and became an instructor in Mobile Digital Forensics through MSAB(Micro-Systemation AB). I have taught and been recertified Mobil Digital Forensics yearly. I receive constant updates to keep up with software changes and new materials. I was also educated in Extracting digital data from drones through the Federal Emergency Management Agen
