WeReach: Helping 50 Small Businesses Grow in MA

Supporting Small Businesses in Massachusetts: Empowering Entrepreneurs to Thrive

In Massachusetts, small businesses are the heart of our communities—built on dreams, grit, and a shared passion for growth. However, many entrepreneurs face challenges such as limited resources, time constraints, and a lack of expertise to scale their businesses. At WeReach, in partnership with Roads Consulting Group, we’ve made it our mission to empower small businesses. Backed by the Small Business Technical Assistance (SBTA) Grant from MassDevelopment’s Growth Capital Division, we aim to provide not just services, but the clarity, support, and hope small businesses need to thrive.

Throughout this impactful program, we worked with 50 small businesses—many of them Latino, immigrant, and women-owned businesses—offering everything from branding support and social media training to business planning, licensing assistance, and financial literacy. Behind every success story is a deeper transformation: a journey from surviving to thriving.

From Invisible to Unforgettable: Steysy’s Business Rebranding Success

Steysy, the founder of House of Art and Craft in Brighton, had a dream: to create a safe, inspiring space for creativity, healing, and self-expression. But many visitors initially misunderstood her business concept, thinking it was simply a craft store. Steysy needed a clearer brand identity that accurately reflected her mission.

With our support, Steysy refined her brand messaging, developed a stronger visual identity, and reconnected with her core purpose. Today, House of Art and Craft is more than just a store—it’s a creative studio where workshops, wellness activities, and handmade art come to life. The community’s response has been overwhelmingly positive, and her bookings have surged. Steysy’s story is a perfect example of how brand clarity can help a business align with its true mission.

Baked With Love and Strategy: John and Sebastian’s Business Growth

In Revere, Elena’s Bakeshop was already winning hearts with Colombian pastries and warm hospitality. However, John and Sebastian, the co-owners, wanted to grow their business further. Through our program, we provided personalized social media coaching and helped them develop a B2B strategy on LinkedIn to attract corporate clients.

As a result, Elena’s Bakeshop successfully connected with larger clients while maintaining strong ties with loyal customers. Thanks to the tools and insights gained, John and Sebastian now have the confidence and clarity to scale their business and expand their reach beyond word-of-mouth marketing.

Why Empowering Small Businesses Matters: Building Confidence and Success

When we equip small business owners with the tools and knowledge they need, we don’t just help them grow—we transform lives. This grant allowed us to do more than just teach business tactics. We became a lifeline for many entrepreneurs, especially those navigating business in a second language, balancing family responsibilities, or struggling with core business aspects like pricing and loan applications.

Every coaching session, workshop, and strategy call helped entrepreneurs grow not just their revenue, but also their confidence. We saw brands bloom, communities strengthen, and the entrepreneurial spirit reignite.

What’s Next: A Brighter Future for Immigrant Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners

Our work doesn’t stop here. We are applying for the 2026 SBTA Grant to expand our reach and continue empowering small business owners. Our mission is far from complete. We are excited to create more success stories for immigrant entrepreneurs, working mothers, dreamers, and small business owners who simply need someone to believe in them.

We are proud to be part of these programs, offering essential support and services to businesses that just needed a little help to keep moving forward. Together, we continue fostering growth and empowering entrepreneurs to reach their full potential
